H.R.847 - James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010
- aserrano : Its ridiculous how I hear people complain about the cost of this bill and the many other excuses they want to put up. This country spends so much money on wars, aid to other countries and countless other "programs", but when it comes to helping the ones that responded to a catastrophe and actually showed what it is to be human we balk at helping one another. I for one will never respond to another catastrophe like this one.
- Pathwerker : Received an equal share. What is it with you people? You make it sound like they're stealing from you. If this money were for your son's medical care, you would be singing a different tune.

H.R.3590 - Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
- mouseissue : This bill creates far more problems than it solves PLUS causing costs to rise even more!
It should be scrapped and start over.
The first two goals should be; (1) to make healthcare more affordable for EVERYONE!
and (2) make it more accessible to low wage earners.
Healthcare will NEVER be free!... No matter how much you want it to be.
And expensive care must paid for by "someone".
For the liberals, that "someone" is just about anybody else who makes a more $$$ than they do!
Problem is, sooner or later, you run out of other people's money.
This is the core flaw of Socialism.
- PGJK : "To amend ...certain other Federal employees [I'm fine up until this point, except in cases of those "noshow" FEDs to which division heads be held accountable for support. AND AS FOR "...and for other purposes". No way!!! ..Just like monies from the lottery that was supposed to go toward education. We should have by now, qualified teachers using topend learning materials in the U.S. system by now, instead Ed. system is laying off & not hiring due to lack of funds. Imagine millions & millions of unallocated monies slated toward educational system being spent elsewhere (I'll keep my 1 pothole for just 1 more qualified teacher). No wonder foreign countries are killing us in our school syatem, infrastructure seems more important than a child's education. And forget about funding for continued education where most students are just about forced to pay their own way unless they've received some scholarship monies or are a minority.
"...and for other purposes" ..definitely no way!!!

H.R.4872 - Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010
- brking : last time i read the constitution i remember my favorite parts of article 1 section 8: "congress shall have the power to...provide for the common welfare of the united states,...
regulate commerce (that means the health care industry)
...(my favorite vague statement) To make all laws which shall be
NECESSARY AND PROPER
for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof."
I'm no lawyer but I'm very sure due to their vagueness and vastness one of these three clauses cover it. i guess fox news pundits didn't read the constitution either, yet they love stressing patriotism how ironic (or rather manipulative for their political end). sorry didn't meant to pick on fox because CNN and the rest do it too. that is they are hypocrites for profit and political power.
- CamYogi : We need a system focusing more on rewards for people who take care of themselves rather than bailing out people who don't.
