Rockefeller should turn his FULL ATTENTION to the ILLEGALS CROSSING THE BORDERS with no hindrance from Homeland INSecurity. THINK ABOUT IT: Has Senator Rockefeller EVER proposed anything GOOD for the American people?

- tgoff8739 : How does the bill favor those that are in office? To me, it seems to me to foster support for grassroots politicians, who by and large do not have the same financial access for running their campaigns. Sure, incumbents would probably find it easier to get personal donations, but try not to underestimate the political power of successful grassroots organizations! :-)

- MadamSalahElDin : I wonder if this website needs to be updated. The Fair Elections Now bills currently in Congress, as I understand it, are HR1404 and S750, not HR1826. Perhaps someone can give me a fill on the history of these numbers and how it works. HR 1826 now seems to relate to Indian affairs.

- CurtisNeeley : Reno v ACLU partially set the CDA aside but four of those Justices have since retired. The Justices were too old to understand internet wire communications and most today still are. Most humans over 40 are as well. The Justice who wrote the Reno v ACLU opinion was 25 when the US bombed Hiroshima with the first nuclear bomb at the end of WWII and 48 when man first walked on the moon.
*It is obviously PAST time for regulation of internet and cable TV wire and radio communications as already required by law.*
It might not happen while I am alive but it will occur soon.
*I already rejected offers of more money than ALL OF YOU HAVE COMBINED.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT MONEY FOR ME.*
The need to censor internet wire communications is not secret but maybe I should *shut-up and hide*?

- bones446 : Let's just face it. Our forefathers did not want this country to be a dictatorship, monarchy, or communist run government. Sometimes I feel this is what it is. Sooner or later we will be controlled on everything we want to do, safe or not, example: this. This is expressing how we feel and what we feel about games, gaming, TV, internet and a whole bunch of things, and yet they do not realize that if they shut it off, they will not be able to use it either. Sooner or later it will be a mixture of a monarchy and a dictatorship. I am not encouraging it, I am simply stating what I FEEL!

S.4004 - SHIELD Act
- concernedcitzen : I agree with you davidmac29. This bill is just to prosecute WikiLeaks. That's all its for. If ti goes into effect, then the U.S. could prosecute the New York Times, The Guardian or any newspaper or any publication that wrote about the classified documents. It would be horrible. A democracy without transparency is no democracy. It's just a bleak world.
- davidmac29 : Bye-Bye 1st amendment and Freedom of the Press. This is a censorship bill, plain and simple. When a journalist receives a close envelope full of information, it's THEIR JOB TO PUBLISH IT.... Period.
Maybe instead of criminalizing journalists and those who disclose data to the public which by our standpoint is VERY interesting giving a snapshot of the unjust meddling of the government abroad, we could criminalize these wrongdoings in the government.
Compete and total disclosure to the American people and if a government official does something outside the Constitution, they are sent to jail.

You know that they still would have to vote to go union just not on a national vote but by station.Why is it that fedex is so up set about this? Because they dont want to play on a level field with all other companies they like there loop hole the loop hole that got put in the last bill at last moment.Why don't try telling the truth for once?
