Oh man that is AWFUL.... Talk about adding insult to injury! I was hearing that some people were getting checks that had the wrong ss# and on them and were having to send them back. What a crock! I got mine yesterday and it is going straight to the mortgage company in attempts to catch up on the many months I fell behind after being unemployed for EVER it seemed like.. I swear even though I found a job I am still suffering.. Playing catch up is the worst when your income is a fraction of what it was before

@broke The troops will receive unemployment, and if they are unsuccessful like we have been in finding work, they will be just like us... is'nt that AWFUL how they treat their own? ESPECIALLY someone who put their life on the line?

As mentioned before, I re opened a new claim with unemployment and it showed online that a check was issued. Well I opened the envelope this morning and there was a letter inside that said, "benefits are not being paid because you have exhausted the maximum benefits allowed." Tell me something I don't already know.

What in the world is going on with the server? LOL Guess there's too many of us unemployed people for the site to handle. That should tell them something. At this rate, we won't be able to log on at all as the number of lost jobs increases...

If anyone has a gas grill, propane is cheaper than gas if your stove is gas. I am unfortunate enough to have both gas and electric so we have to try and cut costs where possible and I have found that spending $20+ dollars for a propane tank and cooking on the grill has reduced my gas bill considerably. Not to mention the food is much more delicious :=)

I know I have been commenting a lot today... I have just been all over the internet today, like EVERY day and find so much useful info I feel it's necessary to share with all of you. Last night I didnt get off until almost 3 in the morning (my hubby was NOT very happy) But I read an article on Peak Oil from the beginning to end. I think everyone here should read it. It ties in with everything that we have talked about on this site. Just do a search on google for LAOC - Life after the oil crash..Man I was in tears...

Glenn Beck was talking about a Costco in California - If it's happening there I am sure it's only a matter of time before it hits other states. Perhaps they are rationing bulk items for now.. Who knows.. Let us pray

I've got some grape and raspberry trees in my back yard now and plan to grow some tomatoes, lettuce, and maybe some cucumbers. Grocery prices are out of this world. According to Peak Oil believers, you are going to have to grow your own food and have a water supply. Oh man I don't even want to think about it

I happened to catch an episode of Good Times the other day.. and I SWEAR they were talking about the very same thing we are talking about now... Inflation, food prices, unemployment... and that show was taped back in the early 70's.. scary ain't it

It just seems like for every step forward they find something else to push us back. Seems awfully convenient to me that they are having such a hard time coming to an agreement about something that seems so simple and plain. I swear I hope they come to their senses and very soon before they try to repair a problem that will be well out of their control. PEOPLE ARE LOSING THEIR HOMES FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
