I am writing as your constituent in the 8th Congressional district of Arizona. I oppose H.R.1125 - Debt Free America Act, and am tracking it using OpenCongress.org, the free public resource website for government transparency and accountability.
This Bill is nothing short of a replay of H.R.4646, This is an intrusion on the right of persons to feel secure in their person and papers. The government has no right to infringe on a private persons banking and extract a fee or tax. Those that live on fixed incomes, have little to spare at the end of the day. What about a transaction, that draws a persons account down to within a few dollars and the bank has to apply this tax fee and it causes the persons account to over draw? This is a bad plan and deserves a NO Vote.
Sincerely,
Adrian Cockerell </content>

Dear Arizona Representatives of Congress,
I am shocked that a bill like HR.4646, would even come before congress, for a vote. A 1% tax on all banking transactions is absurd and double taxation, without representation. I am a retired military man, living on about $1100.00 a month. I am already in a battle with Bank of America about the $5.00 fee they are going to start charging for debit card use. That fee alone will take $120.00 a year out of my small budget. The government has no right, to re-tax the money I have already paid taxes on. Call it a fee or a tax, we know what it is. This will destroy millions of Americans on fixed income. I beg you to vote NO on this unconstitutional bill.

PS,
How about floating a bill for a national lottery? Used only to pay down the debt and voluntary to buy into, this would be more effective than any taxes.
Sincerely,
Adrian Cockerell </content>
