H.R.1022 Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2007
- MunchkinKF : You have got to be kidding me. Didn't they learn their lesson last time? This is the very bill that got them thrown out last time, well if it gets them tossed again I'll endure another 10 years of BS. I bought more high capacity mags and assault rifles DURING the ban than I did before or since. What a crock!

H.R.1955 Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007
- Anonymous : This is just a waste. There is no possible way to prevent terrorism on our soil no matter what precautions we take. If you really want to stop home grown terrorism than you have to leave the civil liberties of the people intact, and leave it to the people to guard against it. Remember people the D.C. snipers appeared to be uncatchable by the authorites. The only reason why they were caught was because the authorities gave the PEOPLE information on what they were looking for, and it was a repairman that spotted the vehicel that the snipers were using to get around in. The authorities only reacted on the information and arrested them. We the people have to be the ones to prevent terrorism not the government. By allowing them to pass this it only opens the door to our civil liberties to be infringed. It will start off as a study then turn into legislation that bases it off of what they find. National wire taps, e-mail screening that ques to certian phrases, and ( yes this is going to sound like a back woods hillbilly ) stricter backround checks on firearm purchases ( maybe restrictions on what calibers, lengths, and types). This bill is absolutely a waste of our time and money to pass.
- dax702 : I oppose this bill, vehemently! And I will be contacting my senators to vote no on it.

S.1870 Clean Water Restoration Act of 2007
- aj_franklin : The EPA has stopped protecting the environment. Its anti-science bias of recent years is widely known and deplored.
Good stewards are vital to the earth, now more than ever before in our history.
EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson overrules his science advisers to make decisions that pander to corporate interests and clearly weaken efforts to reduce pollution.
Johnson must go. I call on Congress to ask the President to replace him with a more science-oriented, protective administrator without delay.
Sincerely,
Alan J.

H.R.3773 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 Amendments Act of 2008
- rlong19 : Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich both voted no on this bill and so there must be a very good reason why. I'm researching further.
- Anonymous : My people we must continue to stand as one. For as you all know it is together that we are most powerful. It was together that our people fought, went to jail, and even died for our sake. So it is now more than ever that we must stand taller than ever, and keep the fight that they started alive." S.2248 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 Amendments Act of 2008
- Anonymous : We have just witnessed multiple felonies committed by Herr Bush to cover up multiple felonies that the Telecoms committed. But if it were you or I that did it, they would hound us and get some whore prosecutor to hang us. Ahhh, Amerika!
- Anonymous : The telecoms always had immunity. Congress took the power to do the work from the government. Telecoms can't do this work for the government anymore because they will be sued when Congress changes it's mind again. The CEO will be fired for incompetence.
