Great idea, but only if the income tax is indeed repealed. I recall the promise of a national sales tax and elimination of income taxes in a country north of us. They ended up with both, AND STILL paying provincial income taxes.

Equal Opportunity taken to the Nth level of insanity. Employers need to communicate with their employees, including federal employers, and needn't be burdened by unreasonable and unenforceable ideas like this. This is just silly. Glad someone is attempting to complain about it.

No bill should be allow to be this large. If a legislator can't read and understand it in a reasonable amount of time, it really shouldn't get an "Aye" vote.

Parents and retailers? How are they to tell if a toy contains lead paint, or any other toxic substance for that matter. Relying on the free market to ensure people aren't poisoning our children via their toys isn't something I feel very comfortable with. I'd rather see more manufacturing come back here, but that won't happen, and as a result I support the idea of some government oversight.

Wait...maybe I'm not following here, but...isn't it already illegal to sell weapons to terrorists? Isn't just being a terrorist illegal? What exactly is a terrorist? so confused...

I'm all for proper labeling of video games and their content, as well as ratings and the like, but does this REALLY require federal legislation? Shouldn't something like this be up to individual states?

Slippery slope. I agree with zachtobias, I don't see a significant threat here. I oppose it, however, because I don't see a need for a committee to analyze something that our existing law enforcement / criminal justice system can and already has the power to handle. Waste of time and money. But I don't see it as a threat to civil liberties.

I don't necessarily disagree, but at this point, I think there are better things to spend time on in the coming months. I doubt this will pass, and as such, why not focus on legislation that actually 1) makes a difference, and 2) is achievable.

Agreed. I think the term marriage should be stripped completely from government.
