H.R.3200 - America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009
- kbenskin : Speaker Nancy Pelosi seems more interested in getting her name placed in the history books for passing health care than listening to the people. On this very page, 22% users support this bill. Question - is she suppose to speak for the will of the people or the will of Speaker Nancy Pelosi?
This is not representation of the people. This bill will break this countries back financially. Please listen to Caterpillar which is the world's largest producer of construction and mining equipment among other major manufactured equipment. This bill will cost them $100,000,000. What do you think will happen to jobs and economic prosperity once this cost has to be paid by them? This is irresponsible legislation.
Stop this nonsense now!
- knewk720 : Well stated Andrea. I couldn't agree with you more. My issue with this whole healthcare reform is that so much time and money is spent of finger pointing at the insurance companies, but there seems to be no focus on the fact that we live in an over medicated society which is the real reason in my opinion that healthcare costs are so high. Your average senior is on 10 different medications and others seem to get perscriptions for every symptom they have. I'm too young to remember but I don't believe we have ever had so many people on so many medications in the past. Insurance companies must pay out for these medications and to subsidize they increase our premiums. I believe we need to stop blaming them and take a look at our medication dependent society. Cut down on the costs of medication and other unecessary proceedures and you cut down on healthcare costs.
