H.R.1302 Global Poverty Act of 2007
- rickvic : Let Nancy save the planet, by herself. Congress is elected to serve the American people. This bill is above BHO's pay scale. Put it to a vote of the people, so congress can see what mainstream American's think of how congress spends our money. Perhaps if more people are aware of what they are up to they would get voted out.

- Anonymous : It's time for a revolution in this country... they are giving America away one piece at a time and I've had it.

H.R.4137 Private Student Loan Transparency and Improvement Act of 2008
- salaud : What a crock. I will need more lube with the peer-to-peer part to begin thinking about the merits of the loan things.
- list4589 : 9000 for pell grant ( doubles the pell Grant) AND can use it during three semesters per year ( currently only two), I WANT THAT! Cut out the P2P thing if it will hold the grants back!

S.2433 Global Poverty Act of 2007
- Rowland : Bill Clinton gave a speech to feed the world and end poverty. All these foreign aid bills which are now five year tripled budgets are because of that speech. Obama is just making him keep his word.
So, we went broke giving away 100s of billions. Check the loans we forgave since 1996, 80 billion. We could bail ourselves out on the new five year foreign aid budgets, but we already committed which was Obama's plan.
- Anonymous : I'm stupid, explain this to me like I'm a five year old...
Do you honestly believe the President alone has that much power? And, if so, that would mean our CHECKS and BALANCES system is flawed.
How would we fix that? By electing another Democrat or Republican?
The problems we face today are from the GREED at the top.
How do we stop that?
