H.R.256 - David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009
- b58 : If they want to write a hate crime law then they need to write one for the unborn kids that doctors kills every day in abortion clinics. These little guys has as much right to live as anyone. There must be a hate for them to kill these babies for no reason except to get rid of them. There should be equal laws for the born and unborn. But they are killed every hour and day of the week without a chance of life.
- KathyT : I agree re our so-called "representatives" are simply not listening to the sane voters. The squeeky wheel gets the grease! I guess this means if one makes enough noise. I am in a mood to just re-call them all!!!!!

H.R.17 - Citizens' Self-Defense Act of 2009
- ryandsmith : It is shame that such a bill even has to be put forth in Congress. Read the constitution and the issue of bearing arms will be settled. Sadly, there are those in the government who have a big problem with citizens having firearms.
- Anonymous : HOMELAND SECERITY IS TO SUPRESS THE AMERCIAN PEOPLE SO THE FORGIEN BANKS CAN ROBB US PERIOD............................TRYANNY WILL NOT STAND IN THE USA SUIT BOYS

H.R.833 - Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act
- chefcj : As has been proven in the recent and not so recent past, the market can not regulate itself AT ALL. Greed in the marketplace has taken away ability to self-regulate, like a puppy with an open bag of food, eat until it gets sick and then eat more. The government has enough to to without trying to spending months making a decision that requires hours to make. The sole purpose of the foundation of the Fed was to have a separate entity to establish these markers for the economy to operate within to regulate the overall picture. Rep. Paul wants to point the finger at them for giving money away whn it is the market itself that fell apart and require some type of intervention before a complete implosion. Even Former Chairman Greenespan said that he never thought that the market would do things that would be so self-destructive for short-term profits. Look it up.
- lbrownusc59 : Does anyone really want the Obama administration to 'manage the fiscal and financial engine of the United States?
Folks, it sounds nice to abolish this and that with one swift bit of legislation (at least Mr. Paul's bill is less than 10 pages).
However we must always be very careful of what we wish for-- It may come true.
What happens after the Fed is abolished? Seems to me far better to deal with enemies we know.
By the way the people are in charge. Think not, try the ballot box; and post cards, not email, with handwritten notes, one at a time.

H.R.875 - Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009
- Jsh78mang : I plan on putting a veggie garden in my yard this year. I will be damned if anyone is going to tell me diffrent. It will aid both in my families health and wallet. This seem like a nonsense bill that should be ended before it begins. Someone must be getting paid to try and pass it. What's next you can't plant flowers or trees anymore. The Big gov is getting to big for it's britches.
- Albert07 : This is an attempt by big pharma to keep people sick and keep them from eating organic food so they can sell more drugs. American food is so toxic other countries don't allow it to be sold in there baorders. It,s designed to make you fat, addicted and sick.

S.773 - Cybersecurity Act of 2009
- Jerod : It states that the president is to keep the balance of states. The internet is a direct threat to the balance of the states and even the balance of the whole planet. Thus it has become the presidents job to do something about regulating the flow of information. I am not even sure the government realizes what is happening and what is going to happen because of the internet. This bill is concerned with securing not balancing.
People have jumped to quickly into the information age, and they are not ready for it. Time to get burned.
- TBSchemer : This bill sounded like a reasonable idea until I read it.
This is fascism masquerading as "protection."

S.787 - Clean Water Restoration Act
- jjenks88 : Maybe that is what it is intended for but what I don't think that you understand on the farmer/rancher's part is that the change in this bills wording,(changing the word navigable to US Waters), would allow the EPA to have control of basically all waters in the US, including farm ponds or cattle watering ponds. And what worries us about that is the fact that the EPA is basically unregulated, I am meaning that there is no one that really controls them. This means that the EPA could require every pond, slough, stream, creek, basically every body of water to have buffer strips, setbacks of so many feet, etc. They could do almost anything that they want, and quite frankly I do not think that many at the EPA have any idea what some of these things could mean for farms and ranches.

- kbthiede : You people are stupid. The govt already has jursidiction over your property. If you murder someone in your backyard, you can still be prosecuted. This bill is about extending the power to prosecute in cases of polluting american waters. That is, if a chemical plant dumps waste into a creek. That plant can still be prosecuted despite the fact that the creek is not navigable. It is important that this passes so we and our children and grandchildren dont have to drink water with inumerable poisons in it.

H.R.1866 - Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2009
- dewby13 : Yes, it's true that hemp is a very Top $$$ cash crop. For that reason, it should only be reserved for farmers that also grow food crop to help feed us millions of Americans. Every year, more and more farmers are going bankrupt. It's time we allow our American Farmers to cash in and make some money.
It'll help out our economy as well. We can then make all the products of hemp and start competing in the International Market. Write Your Congressmen!!!
- up_nord : This is truly sad and pathetic that we still have to have Congress debate this issue... TODAY, you can go to you local Walmart and buy hemp products...
Majority of our American legislators have 'CANNAPHOBIA'
This will truly show who we, as Americans, have to vote out next round of elections.
