H.R.2057 - Motor Vehicle Owners Right to Repair Act of 2009
- esondeen : YES on HR 2057 End the lock-out on home repairs and independent shop repairs of motorcycles and cars. With computerized systems, scanners and UPDATED SOFTWARE are needed to properly diagnose and service todays cars. Dealers may not have the rockstar mechanic needed to make a good diagnosis or repair--give ME the choice and the tools to do my own work.--Parts, manuals, software, choice of mechanics outside the dealer network if necessary.
- rreactor : This bill is unnecessary and potentially very costly to independent small businesses who service and repair automobiles. There is a voluntary process already in place that disseminates service information from the OE vehicle manufacturer to the independent repair industry to the same degree that it is supplied to the franchised new car dealer market place.

H.R.1409 - Employee Free Choice Act of 2009
- DDC : Sorry, but in the real world; once they get the cards signed, the unions hustle their way in one way or another. The employees are screwed.
- DDC : heattherrm
What you don't understand is the intimidation tactics the union thugs put on the unsuspecting employees. I've witnessed it personally. They come to the worksite; they act like friends until you don't toe the union line; they call their homes; they go to their homes over and over telling them how "we've all got to stick together". I've even seen them threaten the Latinos by telling them if they don't get on board with the union they will call immigration. Even documented workers are always in fear of deportation. It's disgusting what they do. And for what? Just to pay their salaries and put money in their coffers. They do nothing for the employee; the employer provides everything.

H.R.37 - Systematic Foreclosure Prevention and Mortgage Modification Act
- KevenF : We all need some quick loans every now and again. Some quick loans come in handy when you have a sudden expense, and you need to have a bit of emergency funds to float you until your next payday, which is what a quick loan is good for. Lenders are willing to work with you, and there are a variety of options to suit your needs. If you don't have time to get to an actual brick and mortar store, you can get online payday loans or over the telephone. Many lenders are also reasonable on repayment if you need to make installment loans out of the quick loans you need for your sudden expenses.
- Erwi31 : I think it should be flatlined @ 3% fixed for 15 years, then 4% fixed for 25 after that. And do this with everyone. That way the servicers, lenders and banks will get the entire note value as well as some interest.

S.1085 - Reuniting Families Act
- mabco : I love how liberals like to disguise their agendas under kind and gentle titles like "Reuniting Families Act". Liberals are masters at deceiving the American people. Another way to say this is they are excellent liars!
- mabco : One word: Amnesty for law breakers. Kill this bill.

H.R.2639 - Global Poverty Act of 2009
- jml6m : I know that the bill won't be expensive for us, but I don't think our focuses should lie on global poverty, but rather, poverty within our country.
This bill just sounds like a "poster board bill", or a bill that is meant to show that America "cares", and nothing more. If it got passed, so be it, but I don't think it will be helpful in the long run.
- donnyshaw : Some more on this bill and some common misconceptions of it here:

...it will not cost the U.S. $845 billion.

H.R.2835 - Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act
- Constitutionalist1 : I'm not sure how to vote on this. I agree that drugs should be legal, but I don't agree that the FDA should regulate anything. What's to be regulated on a plant? You stick the seed in the soil and let it grow. I guess it is a step in the right direction to complete deregulation.
- Keirie420 : Medicinal Marijuana should be legal throughout the country. No person should ever have their freedom taken away for possession of a plant.

S.1 - American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
- Anonymous : And every single one will be re-elected, and there will be fewer Republicans in 2010. Adjust for that.
- Anonymous : Why is it that the law abiding citizens are the first to encourage others to break the law? Maybe their selfishness and self centeredness has finally come to the surface.
Refuse to pay yoour taxes, and expect a large fine. The Republicans cut the staff at the IRS and SEC. The Democrats have doubled it.
