was greatly disappointed to see that you had supported the bail out bill today. As I had written before there are other ways to solve this crisis without taxpayer money. We sure did not do this in the 30's. I guess congress just does not learn from our own history. I will not be supporting you in this November election.

As you consider your vote on the bailout bill I urge you to consider the other approaches to solving this financial crises. The American people should not have to put our dollars into the corrupt financial markets. I hope you will not support the emergency economic stabilization with your vote. No one seems to want to look at the alternatives. It seems everybody want to obliterate the American Government financially. It looks like the govt will give all control to Federal Reserve Bank and the National Treasury. It reminds of the quote by Rothschild many years ago that says "Allow me to control the issue and the nation's money and I care not who makes its laws!" Is this what America has come to? I cannot stress enough to you that this bail out bill should not be passed in this form.

I was greatly disappointed to see that you had supported the bail out bill last night. It would appear by looking at the other comments on this page that you have once again voted your way and not the way of the people on this measure. As I had written before there are other ways to solve this crisis without taxpayer money. We sure did not do this in the 30's. I guess congress just doesnt learn from our own history. I will not be supporting you in this November election.

It was reassuring to me that you "broke ranks" last night and voted against this bailout legislation. It looks like too few senators are there for we the people. Your fellow senator did not listen to us. That is too bad. There are many, like myself that are using this as an acid test for their votes this November. Thank you once again for voting against the bailout!

This is a simple question. Why has HR1009 been in this committe since April07. Letting it languish does nothing. I say get it back on the table and either approve or disapprove it. Hemp was the backbone of this nation. Farmers were required to grow it. In WWII we reinstuted growing it for the war. It is the one of the few if the only product that can be legally imported but illegal to grow it. What kind of logic is that!

This bill will be an acid test for my voting in November. My representative and senator are both up for reelection this year. A yea vote for this bill will certainly be a no vote for my incumbant this November. The answer is to re-establish Glass Stegal ACT of 1933. This will fix the problem once again. This situation was caused by the removal of all the rules of this act in 1999. Both congress and President Clinton approved this. I guess we just never learn!

YEAH! this bill should not be passed at all! Let the market fix itself and lets reinstitue the glass-steagall safeguards based on the lessons learned in 1933! The financial instutions of the USA are not to be trusted to be safe without the 1933 safe guards. They were repealed in 1999. It only took 9 years to recreate the same problems of the last depression.
