Once again Mr. Levin I respectfully submit that you do NOT support the health bill. I just read an article that our president is suggesting a vote for the bill will not affect your re-election. IN my case he is wrong. I can tell you that if you support this bill in any manner of vote I will not support you this fall. I do not support abortion and I do not understand why the federal government needs to have direct access to my finances, something this bill will initiate. I fail to understand why we have to pay for the program and not get any coverage for about 4 more years. This bill also begins to take away states rights on health insurance. I believe you can see why I will not support you should you support this health bill.

gman86428 04/30/2009 4:22am

This bill sounds like it is a cover for when you take pictures of the police and other governmental people. They would have complete knowledge of who and when and could then easily remove any honestly negative publicity they now get. This so much like our congress to sell something that sounds good but in reality is something bad!

gman86428 02/26/2009 7:03am

Now here is a bill that can help this Nation! Hemp was the backbone of why this nation is as great as it is. You simply need to go back to the early days of Dupont and see why all this negativity against non thc hemp started. Dupont KNEW hemp was SUPERIOR to oil and did everything he could to destroy the HEMP market, even tying it to high thc marijuana. Wake up congress and get this out of the committee and get it on the floor for a vote for once and for all. What are you afraid of putting it on the floor for a vote? It just might pass? Get off your butts and get this moving. This just shows how weak minded the bulk of our congress is. The congress is no longer voting based on their constituency but they vote for themselves. This makes it a rogue government.

gman86428 02/26/2009 6:41am

This bill is bunk. Global Warming is a lie. CO2 is not poisen and is actually needed to sustain plant life on the earth. The glaciers of Europe are getting bigger and thicker all the time. The Al Gore film showed life in antartica during the summer. Oh my ice does melt in the summer. Antartica has actually grown in its ice mass the past winters. Why tax the US public for a lie. Kill this in the committee!

gman86428 02/26/2009 4:57am

This bill should be killed in the committee. If this does pass the committee it should NEVER be passed as if it does it is the end of our nation as we know it. Time and Time again it is proven that an armed citizenry is safer than an unarmed one. Criminals will rejoice if this passes. It is sad to see that this is the same tactic used by the Germans in WWII. I guess we will then have our American SS coming down on us to collect our guns. This not only tracks our guns but also our residences. This is nonsense. If congress makes this law it will be one more time that we see that they do what they want and DO NOT REPRESENT their people. It boils down to this simple quote. We did NOT vote for you to be smart but to REPRESENT US!

was greatly disappointed to see that you had supported the bail out bill today. As I had written before there are other ways to solve this crisis without taxpayer money. We sure did not do this in the 30’s. I guess congress just does not learn from our own history. I will not be supporting you in this November election.
gman86428 10/02/2008 3:23am

As you consider your vote on the bailout bill I urge you to consider the other approaches to solving this financial crises. The American people should not have to put our dollars into the corrupt financial markets. I hope you will not support the emergency economic stabilization with your vote. No one seems to want to look at the alternatives. It seems everybody want to obliterate the American Government financially. It looks like the govt will give all control to Federal Reserve Bank and the National Treasury. It reminds of the quote by Rothschild many years ago that says “Allow me to control the issue and the nation’s money and I care not who makes its laws!” Is this what America has come to? I cannot stress enough to you that this bail out bill should not be passed in this form.

I was greatly disappointed to see that you had supported the bail out bill last night. It would appear by looking at the other comments on this page that you have once again voted your way and not the way of the people on this measure. As I had written before there are other ways to solve this crisis without taxpayer money. We sure did not do this in the 30’s. I guess congress just doesnt learn from our own history. I will not be supporting you in this November election.

gman86428 10/02/2008 3:06am

It was reassuring to me that you “broke ranks” last night and voted against this bailout legislation. It looks like too few senators are there for we the people. Your fellow senator did not listen to us. That is too bad. There are many, like myself that are using this as an acid test for their votes this November. Thank you once again for voting against the bailout!

gman86428 10/01/2008 4:37am

This is a simple question.
Why has HR1009 been in this committe since April07. Letting it languish does nothing. I say get it back on the table and either approve or disapprove it. Hemp was the backbone of this nation. Farmers were required to grow it. In WWII we reinstuted growing it for the war. It is the one of the few if the only product that can be legally imported but illegal to grow it. What kind of logic is that!

gman86428 10/01/2008 4:24am

This bill will be an acid test for my voting in November. My representative and senator are both up for reelection this year. A yea vote for this bill will certainly be a no vote for my incumbant this November. The answer is to re-establish Glass Stegal ACT of 1933. This will fix the problem once again. This situation was caused by the removal of all the rules of this act in 1999. Both congress and President Clinton approved this. I guess we just never learn!

gman86428 09/29/2008 9:44am

YEAH! this bill should not be passed at all! Let the market fix itself and lets reinstitue the glass-steagall safeguards based on the lessons learned in 1933! The financial instutions of the USA are not to be trusted to be safe without the 1933 safe guards. They were repealed in 1999. It only took 9 years to recreate the same problems of the last depression.
