I just don't think this is going to do much for the economy. While I can certainly use the $1200 (or whatever it will turn out to be), I, like most people, am not going to be putting it back into the economy by going out and spending it. It will go towards my bills. In a survey done by my local news station, something like 60% of those polled said that they will use it on bills. Another 15% will invest it, with only the remaining 25% spending it. How is this going to help the economy? I realize it will provide immediate help to individuals, but as a whole, this won't fix anything.
