Somewhere in the among the 17k+ comments someone has stated or implied the following statement .... This bill is just a band-aide reaction to a systemic problem that his been metastasizing since around 2000, all due to corporate profits needing to please the shareholders' goals. Now, once the 13 weeks [or 26 weeks in some states] of unemployment benefits states have expired, then, most likely, we will have the same show by the legislatures and even more people will be hurting to make ends meet. The real problem needs a solution as soon as possible to end the needless pain and suffering to people. I cannot see our issues getting better unless the people stand up to take back this country, as the Founders built it. When are we going to wake-up and stop depending upon our elected officials to provide for us? When are we going to wake-up to realize that just about every piece of legislation passed to help us, is legislation passed to encumber us? For example, the unemployment compensation is being extorted in legislation; passed on the back of additional war funding. Now, does this sound like our elected officials have our interest at heart???? It is just old and tired and at point for me. I just hope other are sick and tired as well.

Just like judicial, legislative and executive branches are separate entities in our government process, corporate America should be separate as well. They should not be helping government violate our rights to privacy, especially without probable cause, reasonable suspicion or oversight. Fact is, they are complicit to the Bush Adminstration's scheme of violating FISA and immunity should not be tolerated by the People.
