S.1382 - ALS Registry Act
- sod1 : Re; 1382
Would it be possible to update this bill with something other than the date it was introduced for a second time, May 2007. This bill is four years of lost energy and currently on a Senate Hold.
Thanks

S.3297 - Advancing America's Priorities Act
- b58 : I think there is to many underhanded thing that politicians pull on each other because of some not voting the way they want. They take a pile of worthless bills that wouldn't have a chance of passing and put the good bills on top so if you don't vote on the whole package the good ones won't make it either. It is dirty politics. They do the same thing with spending bills and dump the pork to them.
- Anonymous : Why can't we separate domestic farm bills from foreign aid?

S.1963 - Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act of 2009
- jslambchop : Veterans have given so much for this country, it is tragic that it has taken this long for such a bill to be passed. I am disappointed that it restricts the monetary assistance to caregivers only to veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. I do not understand why all veterans with 100% disability are not included in this bill. Keeping veterans out of nursing homes or hospitals and taken care of by family caregivers will cost the Government much less than what the Government is putting out today.
My husband is a 100% disabled veteran from the Vietnam era. The Government pays an agency for only 15 hours a week to care for him in our home. I am not working outside of our home anymore as his condition is deteriorating. Iraq and Afghanistan Veteran caregivers are no less off financially than those veteran's caregivers from previous conflicts and wars.
