I find it rather interesting that this Senator gets a 37% rating on opencongress and has a nearly identical record to one Barack Obama. If you dislike Sen. Launtenberg yet support BHO, perhaps you should realize that Sen. Obama is the same person with better oratory skills.

Ultimately, the Government getting into Health Care has proven disastrous in the past with the failures of medicare/Medicaid and the Medicare Prescription Drug program, we just don’t see the disaster now…but it is out there. The idea that our Government can run our Health Care system better or more efficiently is based on a fantasy. I truly believe that people who support Government intervention are either bad at math, live in a fantasy world or actually want to destroy the United States. If you want an America 20 or 30 years from now, you must fight national health care!

Does that mean we do nothing? Of course not, but this is not the answer.

I find it interesting that people have such a problem with progressive tax structures. Everyone wants to pay less taxes and yet scream for better Social policy at the same time. FYI, this doesn’t work. These same people, in my experience, are also the people who are well situated in the Middle/Working class. They support the rich, with this false hope that the “American Dream” will eventually lead them to one day BE those wealthy millionaires they support. FYI, this doesn’t work. The people crying about paying too much in taxes are mostly the majority of America who just got a tax cut, but they don’t realize it because unlike Bush (who sent everyone a check with his name on it), Obama cut taxes in the RESPONSIBLE way, which is to just take less out of your paycheck.

Inalienable, I believe you have some flawed logic. Making more money in America is not a legitimate justification for spending more per-capita on health care, especially when that health care is helping LESS per capita than every other 1st world country. Do you think America has some great technology that England and France and Canada are not privy to? No. Actually, we are way behind on technology, thanks to the disintegration of the manufacturing sector, and the overgrown, sickly, financial sector. All those services you’re talking about now depend on developments in other nations.

Rep. Frank Pallone knows how to spend our money. Read through some of his proposed bills. He is co-sponsor of HR3200 which will devastate our way of life and will “spread the wealth”. Come on New Jersey, lets vote him out. He will still be spending our money for the rest of his life with his pension. I say 12 terms is all we can take. VOTE AGAINST HIM in 2010.
