- wanderingwill : This bill provides an incentive for the states to increase private mining activities because they can recieve half of the public funds generated in their state. While this may bill may be an improvement on the current laws, in that it redirects private monies into public funds for the mining of federal lands, do we really want to increase the mining of our public lands? Why must we open up our federal lands to private mining companies?

- Anonymous : It is amazing how many will whine and fit instead of thinking realistically. The jobs that leave this country do not belong to the people. They belong to the employer. The corporate taxes in this country are the second highest in the world. Behind only Japan. It is only good sense to take your company to where the taxes are the lowest. What our country needs is to drastically lower corporate taxes so the jobs will come back home. And the best thing would be to enact the FAIR TAX. Read it before you decide yea ot nay.

- americausa : BUSH wants to bail out Wall street but the unemployed can just wait and starve! The Congress, the Senate and BUSH are criminal, despicable, naive,and in very dangerous water. To ignore the unemployed and not take care of them is so shortsighted its beyond belief. More Extended benefits need to be passed now! The seven weeks is really a joke as unemployment WILL continue to rise and rise. It needs to be a total of 52 or more as it was in the past. Wake up politician's (PUBLIC SERVANT) as your day is coming, and you be joining the unemployed and learn first hand what it can feel like to be jobless. More jobs will be lost, more Banks will fail and you can only blame yourselves for letting Bush and Cheney get away with robbing the working American public who are as dumb and naive as Sarah Palin!
- americausa : I have been out of work since November 2007. My unemployment benefits have run out. My money has run out. I unable to obtain employment and need more time to continue my search for employment. I am at risk of losing my car. Gas prices continue to rise daily. I am highly skilled in my field. My State Rhode Island is one of the hardest hit with unemployment. I am 53 old and have worked hard all my life. I've paid taxes all my life, and this is how my country is treating me. Unbelievable. The Senate, House and President continue to play games as peoples life's are put in jeopardy. Totally disgusting. So all the extra time that I am not spending on looking for employment, I will dedicate to making sure any politician that votes nay on not extending unemployment insurance will be out of a job their next term by informing the public of their decision in every forum available. I will encourage others to do so as well. It is time in this country for the people to take control of their government again and take it out of the hands of the uninformed, out of touch, uncompassionate, ignorant, greedy, self absorbed fools that are the true terrorists ruining this country. Pass a fxxkxxg bill extending unemployment benefits or you will be out of a fxxkxxg job!!!!!!!!!
