Charles William "Bill" Young, a Republican, has represented the 10th District of Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1971.

Young voted for the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 that started the Iraq War.[1]

Earmark claims
According to Roll Call Magazine, Young stated that there are "no more earmarks." He quoted that earmarks are now called "projects initiated by a member." [1]
Biography
He was born December 16, 1930 in Harmarville, Pennsylvania, served in the Army National Guard, and was a member of the Florida Senate before entering the House. He is currently the most senior Republican member of the House of Representatives.
2006 elections
In 2006, the Democrats nominated Sam Simpson to face Young in his November 2006 bid for reelection. (See U.S. congressional elections in 2006) [2] Young retained his seat.
