Bio

Jim Risch is currently serving as Idaho’s 37th Lieutenant Governor. Most recently, he served as Idaho's 31st Governor. He also spent 11 elected terms in Idaho's State Senate. He is a small business owner, a rancher/farmer and senior partner in the Risch Goss Insinger Gustavel Law firm. [1]

2008 elections

He won the Republican nomination to replace retiring Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) during primary elections held on May 27, 2008. [2] He went on to defeat Democratic nominee Larry LaRocco in the November 2008 general election.[3]
