The RaceTracker project on the OpenCongress wiki tracks every election for governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. It is coordinated by the crew at the SwingStateProject.
- Candidates, campaign contributions, district maps and past elections.
- Editable by anyone who provides a source.
- Fully transparent, open-source, non-partisan and free.
Join us! Learn how to participate at the RaceTracker community portal.
Developers, do cool stuff with our (free) data, it's available many ways!

About/contact
The power of this fully sourced and operational wiki is the citizens across the country researching, writing and fact-checking the information here. It is transparent, free, open-source and non-partisan; any political motivation for participation is irrelevant in the face of our common interest in knowing everyone running to represent us in our government.
The RaceTracker wiki is coordinated primarily by the team at the SwingStateProject, with assistance from the OpenCongress team. We encourage you to make any additions or corrections via the "Edit with form" tab at the top of every race page (you'll need to log-in to edit; see the "Join OpenCongress" link in the top right), but you can also leave a message on JamesL's user talk page.
For questions more generally about the RaceTracker wiki or about starting your own project on OpenCongress, please contact the OpenCongress team at writeus@OpenCongress.org.
Features:
- Pages on every election for governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.
- Fully editable with easy forms.
- Sources on all data - don't take our word for it.
- Election returns going back as far as 2000.
- Maps of congressional districts and district offices.
- Campaign contribution tracking.
- Seat-specific blog aggregator feeds.
