John Benton and I are working on neutralizing some of the rhetoric that was on McMorris' page regarding Tom DeLay. We will have something up on Aug. 24 (2007), but in the mean time I took the problematic text off her profile and put it here:
McMorris voted to weaken the ethics rules in a move that many say served only to protect Tom DeLay. [1] When Republicans realized it was "impossible to win the communications battle" over the gutted ethics rules, McMorris flip-flopped and voted to put the old rules back into place. [2] When Democrats attempted to strengthen ethics rules, McMorris voted twice to make sure it never even came to a vote. [3]
