During the campaign, Titus took the following issue positions:
Education
Titus said she would work to improve education by making early childhood education available to more people, fully fund No Child Left Behind, and make college less expensive by pushing for expanded student aid through direct lending rather than through banks.[1]
Veterans

Economy
Titus said she supports increasing the use of renewable energies as a method of stimulating the economy and creating jobs. She proposed focusing the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on developing new electric transmission corridors dedicated to renewable power, expanding grant opportunities for existing and new research and technology programs, and extending the solar investment tax credit and the production tax credit for wind power for 10 years to increase investment in renewable energy plants.

Dina Titus voted yes on health care reform and believes in that "this bill will make real progress by preventing insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions, closing the donut hole for prescription drugs and giving families and small businesses the largest health care tax break in history." She believes that this is for the interests of NV-3.

Bio
Alice Costandina "Dina" Titus was a Nevada State Senator who represented Nevada's Clark County Senate District 7. First elected to the Nevada legislature in 1988, Titus was also a professor of Political Science at UNLV and the author of two books.
Titus won the Democratic nomination for the 2006 Nevada gubernatorial election, but was defeated by current Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons. [1]
2008 elections
Titus won the Democratic nomination to challenge incumbent Rep. Jon Porter (R-Nev.), and went on to defeat Porter in the November 2008 general election.[2]
