Eshoo cosponsored H.R. 1312 (Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2005) on July 28, 2005.[2]
On March 9, 2007, she cosponsored H.R. 1022 (Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act of 2007).[3]

Biography
Eshoo was born December 13, 1942 in New Britain, Connecticut. She received an associate of arts degree from Canada College in Redwood, CA in 1975. She was an administrative assistant to the speaker pro tempore of the California Assembly (1980-81) and a member of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and a Democratic National Committeewoman from California (1980-1992) before entering the U.S. House.[1] She is currently the only Assyrian-American member of Congress.[2]
