Benny Shendo Jr. was a Democratic candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 3rd Congressional District (map) of New Mexico. He was seeking the Democratic nomination for the seat being vacated by Rep. Tom Udall (D-N.M.). who is seeking an open Senate seat. Shendo lost a June 3, 2008 primary to Ben Lujan.[1]
