Bert Smith was a Democratic candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 5th Congressional District (map) of Oklahoma. He was seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge incumbent Rep. Mary Fallin (R-Okla.), but was defeated in primary elections held July 29, 2008.[1]
