Derek Walker was a Republican candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 5th Congressional District (map) of Pennsylvania. He was seeking the Republican nomination for the seat held by Rep. John Peterson (R-Pa.), who is retiring at the end of his term. The primary took place on April 22, 2008, and Glenn Thompson emerged as the winner.[1]
