Dwight Fullingim is the Democratic candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 19th Congressional District (map) of Texas. He is the Democratic nominee to challenge incumbent Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas) in the general election in November 2008.

Fullingim is the Democratic nominee to challenge Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas) in the 2008 congressional elections.[1][2]

Fullingim was born in 1944 to a family of original Lubbock County and South Plains settlers. He was the second generation to graduate from Lubbock High School, and then went on to graduate from Texas Tech University in 1966. Upon graduation he was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army and served two years on active duty, one of which was spent overseas in Korea. <p> His professional career spans more than 30 years in executive positions mainly in the energy industry, including a 15-year stint overseas with Aramco, the world’s largest oil company. He currently works as a Lubbock-based public affairs consultant to public relations giant Fleishman-Hillard of New York. Fullingim married Frances Yvonne Butler in 1970, and they have one married daughter and two granddaughters
