Ed Chau was the Democratic nominee in the 2008 congressional elections for the 42nd Congressional District (map) of California. On June 3, 2008, he received the Democratic nomination to challenge incumbent Rep. Gary Miller (R-Calif.), but lost to Miller in the November general election.[1]
