Harri Anne Smith was a Republican candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 2nd Congressional District (map) of Alabama. She was seeking the Republican nomination to replace retiring incumbent Rep. Terry Everett (R-Ala.). She lost to Jay Love in GOP congressional runoffs held on July 15, 2008. [1]

Smith has been serving on the Alabama State Senate since 1998 and also is the Executive Vice President for Slocomb National Bank. [2]

2008 elections

Smith was seeking the Republican nomination to replace retiring incumbent Rep. Terry Everett (R-Ala.). Alabama Republicans chose Jay Love in the GOP congressional runoff, which took place on July 15, 2008.[3][4] [1]
