Jay Roberts was a Republican candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 8th Congressional District (map) of Maryland. On February 12, 2008, he lost the Republican nomination to Steven Hudson, who will challenge incumbent Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.). [1]
