Energy policy

Granholm advocated for a renewable portfolio standard (RPS) in Michigan, which is a policy that requires utilities "to derive a set percentage of their electricity from renewable sources." [1] She supports an RPS "that would require 10 percent of the state's energy to come from renewable sources, like wind, by 2015," saying it would "create thousands of new good-paying jobs for Michigan and its citizens." [2]

At the 2008 Democratic National Convention, Governor Granholm led a Town Hall Discussion of Renewable and Alternative Energy Options. [3] The Town Hall is available as a You Tube Video.
