Joe Walsh was a Democratic candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 3rd Congressional District (map) of Oregon. He was seeking the Democratic nomination to replace incumbent Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.)[1]. Walsh lost to Blumenauer in the primary which occurred on May 20, 2008. [1]
