John Murphy was a Green Party candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 16th Congressional District (map) of Pennsylvania. He was the Green Party candidate to challenge incumbent Rep. Joe Pitts (R-Pa.), but lost to Pitts in the November general election.[1]
