“Why Does Barletta Still Support BP?” 7/13/2010
This article states that Barletta doesn’t want the government to interfere with BP matters. He says that the government is ‘woefully inept’ at dealing with this crisis. He also doesn’t want the government to criminally investigate BP. It seems that Barletta wants to be on good terms with the oil companies.

Energy:
“Hazleton to become first city in Pennsylvania to provide own power through clean, green solar energy”
The city of Hazleton provides itself with power through clean solar energy. This is Barletta’s town, who went on to show excitement for the future of his town regarding clean energy. “However, it is my goal that the city will share the benefits of this plant by selling some of the power generated there to neighboring municipalities, like to our friends in Hazle Township, where the plant will be located, and, possibly, the Hazleton Area School District,” Mayor Barletta explained.
