Michael S. LaFevers was a Democratic candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 13th Congressional District (map) of Florida. He was seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge incumbent Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.).

2006 elections
LaFevers attempted to run for the Democratic nomination for Florida's 13th Congressional district in the 2006 congressional elections, however, he failed to meet the filing deadline for the primary election, which Christine Jennings won.[1]
2008 elections
LaFevers was seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.) in the 2008 congressional elections.[2][3]
