From OpenCongress Wiki
Ms. Rae Vogeler, a peace and social justice activist, was the official Green Party of the United States candidate for US Senate from Wisconsin in 2006. She was hoping to unseat sitting Sen. Herb Kohl (D).
Born in 1956, Vogeler describes herself as "a working mother, a community activist and a peace organizer." She graduated from college with a degree in social work, but spent most of her life working at jobs unrelated to her degree. She was a truck driver, factory, worker, nurse's aide, and waitress. Throughout her life, she has been involved with community activism, working to advance her positions on issues as divergent as reproductive rights and nuclear power.
