Richard Vilello was a Democratic candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 5th Congressional District (map) of Pennsylvania. He was seeking the Democratic nomination for the seat held by Rep. John Peterson (R-Pa.), who is retiring at the end of his term. The primary took place on April 22, 2008, and Mark McCracken emerged as the winner.
