Robert Hamilton was the Democratic nominee in the 2008 congressional elections for the 49th Congressional District (map) of California. He was the Democratic nominee seeking to challenge incumbent Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.). He won primary elections which took place on June 3, 2008, but lost to Issa in the November general elections.[1]
