Can a justification be made for this bill? I have not received a raise this year due to the finicial crisis that the congress (thorugh its unwillingness to oversee the financial industry) helped create. It is unclear to me why Social Security recipients should receive a payment outside of their calculated COLA. This is appears to be a another case where people do not have to live within the rules that were clearly defined and agreed to.
