Steve Holland was a Democratic candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 2nd Congressional District (map) of Mississippi. On April 2, 2008 he was defeated by Travis Childers in a run-off election for the Democratic nomination to replace Rep. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) in the 2008 congressional elections.[1]
