Steve Ward was a Republican candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 6th Congressional District (map) of Colorado. He was seeking the Republican nomination to replace incumbent Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.), who has announced he will not seek re-election. He was defeated in the primary that took place August 12, 2008.
