       TJ Thompson is a 26 year-old regular citizen who believes Congress works for the people.  Therefore, he has two (2) telephone numbers for his Constituents to reach him directly: (317) 426-VOTE  and  (765) 598-4YOU.   The People are the Boss & the representative is the Employee.  Mr. Thompson believes that it is time for Washington DC to welcome fresh faces, ideas, and voices to the halls of The Capitol Building.

       For the past 8 years, he has helped run his family's business. With the increasingly troubled economy, the Thompson's have done what our Federal Government refuses to do: Trim Budgets, Cut Costs, and Decrease Wages - Starting with their own salaries.  Mr. Thompson's experience throughout these troubled economic times will allow him to make Federal Budgetary decisions that are sensible and practical for the American Taxpayers.

     Mr. Thompson will seek to pass legislation that greatly reduces Congressional Salary (http://www.CutThePay.info), and implementing Term Limits on Congress.  TJ also wants to pass a law that requires every bill to be read on the House Floor prior to a Vote.  He also believes that we should fix the Veteran's Hospitals & Medicare prior to the Federal Government taking on another sector of Healthcare.

      Mr. Thompson has also made the following Five Pledges to the people of Indiana:

• If I vote for any legislation that strips or minimizes your Constitutional Rights, I will Resign Immediately.
  -- For too many years, legislation such as The Patriot Act has stripped us of our Constitutional rights. I will fight to end these violations, and prevent further Constitutional Violations from happening.
• If vote for a Bill which I have not read, I will Resign Immediately.
  -- Voting blindly on a bill is irresponsible and dangerous (i.e. The Patriot Act). Therefore I will read EVERY bill in which I vote on. Furthermore, I will push for a law that FORCES each bill to be read - in its entirety - on the floors of Congress prior to any vote.
• If I take money from any source other than my paycheck, I will Resign Immediately.
  -- My votes will not be bought. My Integrity is not for sale.
• If I vote in favor of Military action against another Nation - I will personally Enlist in the Military
  -- The Federal Government has few shortcomings with sending your Husbands, Wives, Sons, Daughters & Friends to War.  If I can have the audacity to vote 'Yes' to send your Child to war, then I will have the fortitude to fight with them - not use their lives as political "talking points".
• If more than 3% of my Campaign Donations come from Outside Indiana, I will donate ALL non-Indiana money to Charity.
  -- In 2009, 45.6% of Mike Pence's campaign contributions consisted of funds from Persons and/or Corporations Outside of Indiana.  My primary allegiance and loyalty will ALWAYS BE to the people of Indiana, not to those with the fattest wallets or biggest checkbooks.
