Jeff Duncan is a 1988 graduate of Clemson University where he played football for two and a half years. He is currently the President and CEO of J. Duncan Associates, and Duncan & Co Auctioneers, a family owned South Carolina based real estate marketing and auction firm.
Jeff was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 2002, and was recently elected Chairman of the House Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Committee. During the 2006-2008 Legislative Session, Jeff served as Chief Majority Party Whip in the South Carolina House.


Jeff has been named a “Tax payer Hero” every year that he has been in the South Carolina General Assembly by Governor Sanford, and has also received the “Friend of Small Business” Award from the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB). Additionally Jeff has been honored with an A+ rating from the pro free-market organization Club for Growth; the Palmetto Leadership Award from the SC Policy Council (2003); “Legislator of the Year” from the SC Recreation and Parks Association; and “Legislator of the Year” from the SC Wildlife Federation (2007).

Jeff was appointed by the Speaker of the House to Chair the Education Finance Study Committee and was charged with looking at the state’s thirty-year-old funding formula for public education. Also an advocate for energy independence, Jeff was appointed to the US Department of the Interior’s Outer Continental Shelf’s 5 year Planning Sub-Committee for making recommendations on oil and natural gas leases on offshore areas. In addition, he serves on the state’s Natural Gas Offshore Drilling Study Committee. In November of 2008, Jeff was appointed to represent the state of South Carolina on the Southern States Energy Board.

Jeff strongly believes in the importance of family, and recently celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary to his wife Melody. Jeff & Melody have three children: Graham 14, John Philip 11, and Parker 8. Jeff and Melody are members of First Baptist Church of Clinton where Jeff also serves as a Deacon.
