Tessa Hafen was the unsuccessful Democratic Party nominee in the 2006 congressional election for the 3rd Congressional District of Nevada (map). She was challenging Republican Rep. Jon Porter.

Biography

Born in Henderson, Nevada Hafen attended Southern Utah University and graduated magnum cum laude with a B.A. in Communications. She has spent the last eight years working for Nevada's Senior Senator Harry Reid as his press secretary and as a personal adviser. She is currently a substitute teacher in the Clark County School District.[1]
