Tom Manion was a Republican candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 8th Congressional District (map) of Pennsylvania. He was the Republican nominee to challenge incumbent Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-Pa.), having won the primary on April 22, 2008.[1] He lost to Murphy in the November general election.[1]
