Woody Jenkins was the Republican candidate in the 2008 special election for the 6th Congressional District (map) of Louisiana. Jenkins was the Republican nominee to replace Rep. Richard Baker (R-Lou.), who resigned his seat in January 2008. However, Jenkins was defeated by Don Cazayoux (D-Lou.) in the May 3, 2008 special election.[1]
