Sign Up to Help Test an Improved OpenCongressSeptember 4, 2013 - by David Moore
As you may know, since our launch in 2007, OpenCongress has been a project of the non-profit Participatory Politics Foundation, with the Sunlight Foundation as our founding and primary supporter.
We’re very proud of the work we’ve done with you to create a vibrant community to hold Congress accountable. All in a free & open-source website for the public benefit.
Today, I’m encouraging you to sign up to help test an improved version of OpenCongress. We’re pleased that developers from Sunlight Labs have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to fix bugs and continually improve OpenCongress’ data quality and user experience.
In short, they’ve been reviewing each part of the site and your helpful feedback and bug reports as they tweak the code that powers OpenCongress. An improved iteration of OpenCongress will roll out in early Fall 2013, but the plans don’t stop there.
Sign up here to be the first to know when the latest version of OpenCongress is ready. The folks from Sunlight will be in touch to give you a preview of the site and to give you an opportunity to tell us what’s working, what’s not and what you’d like to see. Your input will be extremely valuable in helping shape the future of this site.
Thanks for using OC and for keeping tabs on Congress. Questions, comments? Email David w/ PPF, david at ppolitics.org or Gabriela w/ Sunlight, gschneider at sunlightfoundation.org.
