Public Law 111-005

February 17, 2009 - by Donny Shaw

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the stimulus bill) was officially signed into law this afternoon by President Obama. It is now Pub.L. 111-005

Shortly after the signing ceremony, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said that the Administration will not “foreclose” the idea of pushing a second stimulus package through Congress if this one doesn’t do enough, though they have no plans to do so at the moment.

(Look at how difficult the signature of the President Pro Tempore has gotten.)

As far as more spending, a “second stimulus”, you bet.

Lots of good People are having an adverse reaction to this kind of treatment of the current consumer and capital markets recession (recession of money):

INFUSION (of money), otherwise known as SPENDING.

SPENDING from the U.S. Treasury? SPEND Public Funds?

You bet: all it is is borrowing money from ourselves, against some future time at which we will equal the accounts: we borrow regularly on 6 month and 1 year Notes, on 2 and 5 and 10 and 20 year Notes: and so we spend borrowed money (with only ourselves to pay back in the instance of Public spending, but at a duration and on terms of our own choosing) as an INFUSION (of money) against this terrible consumer and capital recession (of money)…

You bet: if it takes a “third stimulus” or even a fourth, it’s what we’re doing and must continue to do against this wicked recession:

SPEND money out of the U.S. Treasury, with the design of INFUSING money ultimately into the consumer and capital markets…

And backed by the full faith and credit of the United States of America, or the People thereof, it’s the same thing.
