“My cousin’s husband was born in Hawaii and states that Obama’s certificate of “live” birth is of questionable origin." Yeah, there’s a real authority on the subject.

Phil Berg is also a 9/11 Truther. He’s a conspiracy theorist nutjob, end of story.

Also Factcheck.org is part of the Annenberg Foundation, which was created by Nixon appointee and Reagan fundraiser Walter Annenberg and is currently run by his widow Leonore, who was a Reagan appointee. Yep, sounds like a Democrat front group to me!

YES!!! Finally a proposal that supports what the founders intended! Just read the examples included in the bill and you will see why this bill is needed. Imagine being jailed simply for saving your family’s life from the hands of a criminal

You’re right. But we actually don’t need 50,000 different bills and laws that support the Constitution! All we need, is for our government to have the balls to tell ANYONE, and EVERYONE who doesn’t like our Constitution, to stay out of our country, and to not expect US, the American people, to give up any of our Rights under the Constitution, just so they can become a citizen here, or so we can conform and become more politicly correct on the issue. Tell em if they don’t like it, get the f*%k out!!! OUR GOVERNMENT, as it is, needs to stop trying to accomodate how everyone else feels about our Constitution, and start standing up for the Constitution as it is, and for our people. I don’t give a damn if other countries don’t like the fact that we have it in our countries Constitution that we have that right! Nor whether some big bussiness would rather see us not have guns to defend ourselves against their lobbying and financial pursuasions in Washington!

As a corrections officer,(retired) inmates have told me that they fear the home owener with a firearm more than they do the cops. The cops have more restrictions on them than the home owener. I sugest all gun oweners let it be know that we will “not” give in to any Bill that will make a criminial out of me. I support the right to carry,“Anywhare” in the US and will fight anyone who wants to put my freedom to owen a firearm with out registering said firearms. I know the criminal mind and I know what scaers them the most. Sorry about my spelling as I dont know how to correct it here. Wayne Tachell. ID.

  • tarantula 02/18/2009 7:09pm

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

  • ronmon 02/19/2009 7:06am

the Police can’t be there fast enough to keep home intruders at bay. you don’t have to shoot them to in order to make them think twice before commmitting an act of aggression.

HR 45 is not taking the nation the right direction basically because we don’t trust the government to stop there. Read up on what happened in Britian… they don’t have firearms and crime has increased.

And don’t forget about Australia, they started out with registration, also. First comes REGISTATION, then comes CONFISCATION.

Does anyone doubt where Odummy stands on this matter given his voting records in Illinois and the US Senate? Any bill having anything to do with guns or gun rights weren’t bills that he voted “present” on.

A US gun ban is what Odummy’s boss, George Soros wants, and that is what Odummy has to come through with in order to keep his boss happy. You’d think the President’s boss was the people, not a billionaire foreign national.

That’s the thing! EVERYWHERE that guns have been taken from law abiding citizens, crime increases because the criminals have no fear of them. The criminals are the only ones then with guns they bought off the streets, and you can bet it aint registered to them. But if the corrupt business people on Wall Street can push the government to take away our guns, then they know they can steal even more Trillions from us like when George Bush, the dumbass that he is, bailed out all of Wall Street before HE left office. Coincidental that most all of the Bush and Cheney Fortunes were all invested in many different ways on Wall Street, huh? If they can get our guns away from us, then they (Wall Street Criminals) have even less to worry about!

  • Jburson 02/19/2009 7:22am

I am a free man that has never been arrested or charged with any crime and it is my right under the constitution to defend my life and stop any action that would harm myself and other people, even if it means shooting the person putting us in harms way.

    apache01 07/28/2009 4:41am

Ahh, but not if that person is a crooked cop!!! You’d go to prison for the rest of your life for being a cop killer, even if he was a dirty cop! And you have to be a convicted felon to lose those rights. Not everyone that gets arrested is a felon.

This bill is another nail in the coffin for America, this hasn’t worked in other countries and won’t work here. there are many other problems in this country, this bill would cause many more problems. I feel this is only one step planned in the next four years to errode our constitution. What are these idots thinking?

Well Wayno it’s like this short and sweet…

The police will only respond to a crime in progress or later.

    Ask yourself this…
If your home was suddenly invaded by some drugged-up moron(s),
would you rather have a gun or a telephone in your hand?

If it’s the phone, Darwin’s Law of Survival will deal with you.
Try using your head for something other than a propaganda receptacle.

I think you are confusing this bill with HR45 “Licensing bill”

  • jarodm20 02/21/2009 4:47am

I respect the right to free speech (1st Amendment), so why can’t people respect my right to protect myself from criminals, and more importantly, from the possibility of a tyrannical government? This bill simply recognizes what most of the free states in this country already recognize. It’s a step in the right direction. I HOPE IT PASSES!!

  • Anonymous 02/21/2009 4:25pm

If these idiots would look at the crime statistics in the cities that have banned firearms they might see that these cities have much higher firearm related attacks and killings compared to other large cities where it is legal to carry a concealed weapon and own one to protect yourself and family. I guess they cannot see the light; they have been blinded by the light! Who elected these fools? Not me…

  • Anonymous 02/22/2009 10:48am

I suppose this bill. We all need to let our congressmen know that we want them to support it too. We must make our voices louder than those of the gun control groups.

But you see, for now, people here and in the streets as well, that for the next four years, as if it’s the Democrats who are behind this, or trying so hard to push to take our guns away. It isn’t!!! Because if it doesn’t go thru now, those same idiots who are really behind wanting our guns taken away, will just come back during the next four years, and the next four years, until they succeed! That’s where our government needs to have the balls to tell these jerk offs, now look, you people have brought this issue before us too many times already! We will NOT address this issue again, and will not waste time in the House and Senate to RE address an issue you’ve been told NO on so many times before. Then they should have those assholes escorted out of the building and banned from ever bringing up the issue again. It’s been addressed, they’ve been told no, so don’t waste time addressing it again when there are other issues they could be spending that time on!

This bill, HR17 supports your right to defend yourself. I think you have confused this bill with HR45 which will require firearm registration.

    apache01 07/28/2009 5:07am

But Theultimateg, check for yourself here. HR45 IS ATTACHED to Bill HR17. So by pushing for the passage of HR17, you’re also pushing without you knowing, the passage of HR45 as well!!! Says it right there on the page describing Bill HR17 that other Bills attached to this one is HR45! They’re proposing that you CAN defend yourself and family, but with that right you’ll also have to register your guns and jump thru all their hoops in order to keep those guns. Read it all before you speak please.

  • Anonymous 02/24/2009 10:36am

Don’t worry about what any laws the rouge government makes. Just ensure that you have a personal cache of weapons and ammo. And a word from the wise. If you don’t have any arms you need to start purchasing them now while you still can. I don’t belive it will be to long in the future before you will need these weapons to defend what is rightfully and justly yours as stated in our constitution and bill of rights. Wake up America!

Way back in nthe 1930’s in a europiean country, a man came to power, and promptly caused all citizens to register all firearms, with the local police station. “For the safety of the citizens” he later decided that it would be SO much safer for all, if there were no firearms out there at all. So he directed the police to take the list of firearm owners, which listed the name of the owner, the firearm(s), and the address. The police complied. Then the leader of this nation was quoted in international newspapers, as to how ‘his’ country was safe for women and families. ’Why one could walk the streets at any time of the day or night with out a thought for thier safety"
“Germany is now the safest country in the world”
    Adolf Hitler

The 2nd ammendment is the only one that can guarantee the other ammendments. 1st. they want gun control (ask canada, austrailia, china, how thats working out for them. 2nd. they want to take away your free speech with the so called “fairness doctrine”. TRUE GUN CONTROL;HITTING WHERE YOU AIM!! IF MORE AMERICAN PATRIOTS DON’T STAND UP AND DO SOMETHING, WE WILL BE THE USSA – UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF AMERICA- FULL BLOWN COMMUNISM IS NOT FAR BEHIND. NOT ME,STOCK UP ON BULLETS AND BEANS, CAUSE IT’S GONNA BE A FIGHT, JUST WAIT AND SEE

  • BobNanner 02/27/2009 1:02am

I really hope this bill can be passed, and have a veto proof majority, otherwise, it will never be signed into law. It will be vetoed, because it goes against Obama’s antigun agenda.

  • BobNanner 02/27/2009 1:02am

Barack Hussein Obama’s Ten Point Plan to “Change” The Second Amendment

    1) Ban us of firearms for home defense.

    2) Pass Federal laws eliminating your Right-to-Carry.

    3) Ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns.

    4) Close down 90% of the gun shops in America.

    5) Ban rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting and sport shooting.

    6) Increase Federal taxes on guns and ammunition by 500%.

    7) Restore voting rights for five million criminals including those who have been convicted of using a gun to commit a violent crime.

    8) Expand the Clinton semi-auto ban to include millions more firearms.

    9) Mandate a government-issued license to purchase a firearm.

    10) Appoint judges to the U.S. Supreme Court and Federal judiciary who share his views on the Second Amendment.

I think you forgot the 11th point of his plan and that’s to use the licensing database to confiscate your guns. Then he can quote Hitler with the adage “Amerika is now the safest country in the world”.
