Exactly right. And so far, that has not happened. It’s time to make sure it does. Let the states that HAVE wolves and have to deal with them manage them.

Rite now every decision is based on politics. This bill will allow the State Game agency in each State to manage. These same agencies are the ones that have brought many species to healthy levels long before the Endangered Species Act was even a notion. Remember that 11 out of 12 Biologists and Scientist commissioned by the Federal Government under the E.S.A. Believe that Wyoming’s plan, the most controversial plan, is sound. Note that that was long before all of the concessions made by Wyoming. Judges bought by environmental extremists and driven by personal ideals (read politics) have gone directly against every fundamental guideline of the E.S.A. Anyone that speaks without having read all of the E.S.A., the lawsuits and the respective decisions is misinformed.

Most of the Canis Lupus subspecies have already been hunted to extinction around the world. This bill impacts not only it’s intended target, the reintroduced wolves which are reducing Western state profits from the sale of deer/elk permits it impacts wolves around the world.

This bill would not only lift current restrictions on hunting wolves in the US, most notably the Mexican Wolf (pop ~40) but it will also permit the import and sale of pelts and other items made from the endangered foreign wolf populations such as the Arabian Wolf, Indian Wolf, Italian Wolf, Tibetan Wolf, Iberian Wolf, Indian Wolf, Himalayan Wolf etc.
