What they are doing to the unemployed in Florida is criminal. Be happy if you do not reside in this state.

I don’t think any of us know the 100% reality, and different people hear different things from different sources.

I read articles all the time with info I think is wrong, but I know the intention is good.

Also remember those posts of hers are old.

The search engines seem to be missing much these days….

I’m just learning about that since yesterday.

They are reporting 30,000 protesting in Wisconsin for their jobs and benefits.

They still have money and respect…

The 99ers fight with neither, But we will FIGHT!

Our time is coming!

1) The bill is not headed to the floor yet. They are still gathering additional Co-Sponsors and they are working on the Repu blicans. There is some discussion that there are many Republicans who support this bill. BUT, they are AFFRAID TO GO AGAAINST the ENTIRE REPUBLICAN TEAM AS A WHOLE, each trying to decide who will be the first to show public support and when it would be best to do so, WITHOUT being look bad by there fellow Republican piers!

“Ryan’s GOP Budget Plan Eliminates Medicaid” Americans are on Medicaid. Another day, another House GOP idea to cut or eliminate a program that disproportionately assists the poor. This time Medicaid. It would seem that any program assisting Americans with limited assets is a target for the House GOP of the 112th Congress. Can anyone think of a large program that is on their chopping block that does not? Are the House Republicans going after the $20 billion paid out in farm “subsidies” (read: corporate welfare) or the large tax breaks for oil companies? General Electric paid no taxes read here. GE reported profits of $14.2 billion worldwide last year. Exxon had a $45.2 billion profit in 2008. Should they get a tax break? Paul Ryan dodged that question on Fox News this weekend. It would appear so far in the 112th Congress that all House GOP policy starts and ends with the poor. http://www.crewof42.com VOTE REPUBLICAN? HELL NO! LESSER OF TWO EVILS = THE DEMOCRATS!

All of the economic problems that we are experiencing now have taken decades to develop. Hopefully the charts in this article will help people realize just how nightmarish our economic problems have become, because until people start realizing how incredibly bad things have gotten they will never be willing to accept the dramatic solutions that are necessary to fix our financial system.

I hope this bill is not dead. I have my plans for getting to Washington in place. I am waiting for the demonstrations to start. It is a ghost town where I live except for the homeless holding up signs on every street corner. There is no work. Strip malls and shopping centers are 90 percent unoccupied. Many houses are either empty or up for sale and many are bank-owned. Is this the vision that our leaders had for us when they allowed the corporations free reign to do as they please.

Then I heard a man that served in Afghanistan and wrote a book about it.

I almost spit out my coffee when I heard him say we were paying a local man there $1.200.000.00 to build a road less than ten kilometers long.

I see the site is running like a snail again.

What’s Up in Congress: Government Shutdown Appears Likely

“Was” one time years ago, I took the Lake Michigan Ferry home from Ludington Mi to Manitowoc Wi. It was cold (in the 40’s) with low clouds & fog upon departure from Michigan. (kinda’ like medieval England) Halwfay across the lake, the clouds parted, the temperature rose to the middle 60’s/lower 70’s, & the fog & gloom vanished. It was like coming out of the dark ages & going into the light. Michigan is a very ass-backward state compared to Wisconsin.

If we can get two votes, one unfunded and one funded that will tell us were our representatives stand. If we do not get a vote when there is no way that republicans can block a vote that really shows us were we stand. Our representatives need to be educated to the fact that we know that if they ask for a vote on this issue the vote can not be blocked.

If they don’t ask for a vote knowing that it can not be blocked it shows that they are just trying to manipulate us.

S Clark.
you have a pretty good audience, could you do a piece pointing out that there is no way that republicans could block a vote on 589 if it is put forth as an amendment to the CR. Our representatives need to be educated to the fact that we know they are just screwing with us. They need to know that we know that the do not need the republicans permission to bring 589o up for a vote both funded or unfunded.

adamaiken 04/10/2011 4:53am

GOP FOR 2012 SO THAT:
THE TEN YEAR PARTY OF TAX EVASION CAN CONTINUE UNABATED AND THE ORGY OF SPENDING BY THE TOP 2 PERCENT CAN REACH NEW HEIGHTS OF INSANITY,
MCCAIN ADMITTEDLY OWNED 11 HOUSES AND 13 CARS – THAT IS NOT ENOUGH – VOTE THEM IN AGAIN SO THAT HE CAN EVENTUALLY OWN 25 HOUSES AND 50 CARS – THAT IS THE ONLY FAIR THING TO DO
l

2011 Unemployment Extension – New Unemployment Claims Data for Feb. 17’TH

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/7765722/2011_unemployment_extension_new_unemployment.html

WasMiddleClass 02/17/2011 6:32am

Nothing of note in the weekly unemployment insurance claims report — or is there?

In the week ending Feb. 12, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 410,000, an increase of 25,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 385,000. The 4-week moving average was 417,750, an increase of 1,750 from the previous week’s revised average of 416,000.

Yeah, okay. “Revised” again. And there’s that 4-handle.

Let’s look at the big table, my personal favorite

More “99ers” coming off, I think.

and the number of 99ers will increase thanks to Gov Jerry Brown up coming cut backs in California. Teachers, police, fire department personnel will all suffer and increase the unemployed bill two fold. Borders released just last night it plans to cut 7000 jobs in los Angeles and stories just like this all over the United States. So to bad some unemployed found work at borders but your going to get back into that unemployed line you loved so much. So lets not forget how much better we are doing people. Seriously our blind sided House members honestly believe we are moving in a better direction even in jest the numbers have yet shown a great improvement.

fakk2 02/14/2011 8:12pm

Here’s a question for everyone out there, and honest answers please just to see if this would be an option we could write our senators:

If instead of a Tier 5 unemployment, let’s say Congress completely cut $800 billion out of the defense budget (I know it’d never happen, but it’s something easy for the example) and created a program building bridges, roads, sewers, rail lines, power stations, etc. (infrastructure in general), and offered it to (although it’s not actually this high) a full 16 million unemployed people, paying minimum wage (which would last for just over 3 years at $800 billion), would you take it until the economy turned around and you could find something else?

Like I said, honest answers please just to see if it’s an option.

Let’s not forget, we’re talking about 30 years here. If all someone can find in 30 years is a minimum wage job, then maybe it’s time they work 2 minimum wage jobs, since you’re saying they can’t afford anything. I know someone could find 2 minimum wage jobs in the last 30 years, all they’d have to do is struggle to keep it. The second job would be more than enough to pay for savings. And if you contend this person couldn’t keep 2 minimum wage jobs, then you’re saying every single mother who is doing it doesn’t exist.
